The magnetic behavior of iron nano-stripes grown of copper surfaces is
accessible by modern experimental techniques: Stripes of iron can be grown
at steps of vicinal Cu (111) surfaces using MBE.

Remanent magnetization per iron atom in these stripes is significantly
reduced, when compared to the bulk iron magnetization.
